From the Vom Stein vineyard and stylistically a Smaragd but bottled in July 2018 after 16 years in vats, the 2002 Riesling Vinothek is clear, pure and floral/herbal on the delicate, completely healthy nose. Full-bodied, intense and concentrated on the palate, with fascinating clarity and persistently salty mineral tension, this is an exciting, firmly structured and sustainable dry Riesling of great class and style. Absolutely vivacious and pure. A great wine tasted at the domain from lot 214403 in September 2019.
